So I was having breakfast with a friend the other day…and we were talking about life generally, but ended up focusing on hard times and how we overcome them…and as she was telling me different experiences I got to thinking…

A lot of what keeps us / people generally from pushing past certain things is that we don’t trust / lean on our own knowledge…we let other ppl tell us what’s true and whats not…we let other people tell us what we are worth and how we can even gain worth….when it comes to religion / school / work / more often than not, it is people other than ourselves who have the ‘authority’ and tell us when we are good enough…and that got me to thinking…

What makes what other ppl say true? why do words hold more weight to us when others say it? even if they’ve been saying these words for thousands of years, why don’t we question them? their logic? their context? what makes things true to us?! the number of other people who believe its true?!
I’ve found no answer that is good enough for me…..so i’ve concluded…
If I say its true, then its true mu’fucka! hahahahahahahahaaaaaaaa

Nah, but really…I believe we should all be humble and reflective enough to hear the thoughts and wisdom of others…but ultimately…its our own individually crafted truths…based on our experience that we have to lean on…if we allow others to determine or worth…or to determine how we figure / view our worth…we will never be free…or happy…

Perhaps the first step is believing in the validity / power of our own truths.
